Anita Okwechime, CEO of Elann Studio, began her journey as a mobile videographer, using something she already had in her hands — her iPhone.
While working with a brand that had access to professional gadgets and equipment, Anita discovered something unexpected. Whenever she created content using her phone, brands and other people seemed to connect with the results. What started as simply using the tools available to her became an opportunity she couldn't ignore.
She realized that great content isn't always about having the most expensive equipment, but knowing how to create with what you have.
Anita began developing her skills with tools like CapCut, eventually moving to professional software such as Premiere Pro and exploring colour grading and other techniques to refine her work.
But her biggest breakthrough wasn't a new editing tool. It was recognizing the value in something others had overlooked.
She eventually left the brand to build Elann Studio, choosing to pursue the creative opportunity she had discovered within herself.
People loved what she could create with her phone and Anita saw that as more than just positive feedback. She saw a business.
Her story is a reminder that sometimes, the opportunity you're looking for is hidden inside something you're already doing.
Anita didn't wait for the perfect equipment or the perfect opportunity. She noticed what people loved, trusted her ability, and turned that discovery into a brand of her own.
